Poppy has acquired the PDSA Order of Advantage – the animal equal of an OBE

A sniffer canine praised for her heroism within the London Bridge terror assault was given the Speaker’s chair as she checked the Home of Commons.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle let Poppy, an explosives detective canine, sit in his chair as a part of her sweep of the Commons and Lords chambers.

The spaniel was awarded a “canine OBE” for her work in checking for potential explosives following the 2017 assault.

Eight folks died through the assault in Borough Market.

Her handler, PC Spalding, stated Poppy, now 5, went into buildings, clearing them for armed officers within the aftermath of the assault.
