An SNP MP has accused Lord Maginnis of verbally abusing safety employees at Westminster after he forgot his go.

Hannah Bardell raised the matter within the Commons on Wednesday, saying it was “one of many worst circumstances of abuse of safety employees” she had witnessed as an MP.

Chatting with BBC Information NI Lord Maginnis admitted he turned “cross” when he was being challenged by safety guards.

He defended his actions and stated he was in ache due to arthritis.

Ms Bardell advised the Home that the previous Ulster Unionist MP known as the safety employees “crooked”, and requested “do they not know who he was”, through the incident on Tuesday.

Chatting with the BBC Information NI, Lord Maginnis stated he believed he was being focused by Ms Bardell due to views he held on same-sex marriage and abortion.

On Wednesday the Huffington Post quoted Lord Maginnis as saying: “Queers like Ms Bardell do not notably annoy me.

“Okay, she’s bought her low-cost publicity out of it.”

BBC Information NI contacted Lord Maginnis to ask him if he had used the time period “queer” to explain Ms Bardell, however he declined to remark.

Talking in regards to the incident Parliament safety he stated he was “barely sensitive” that there was no chair at safety and cited the actual fact he suffers from arthritis and has nerve harm in his ft.

Lord Maginnis stated he was stopped as a result of he was not displaying his go which was in his bag.
