Priti Patel ‘tried to maneuver high civil servant’

Residence Secretary Priti Patel has tried to maneuver probably the most senior civil servant in her division, it’s understood.

Responding to a report in the Times, a well-placed supply informed the BBC there had been a “real disagreement” between Ms Patel and Sir Philip Rutnam.

However they denied claims that she “bullied and belittled” officers.
