Labour management contender Rebecca Lengthy-Bailey says it’s “routine” for ladies in politics and public life to get abuse for what they put on.

The shadow enterprise secretary mentioned it “should not matter what individuals put on at work”, however she knew she would get attacked on social media after her public appearances.

“Some individuals have a tendency to speak about my eyebrows as a result of I’ve received pretty expressive eyebrows,” she informed BBC Breakfast.

“And girls are likely to get that scrutiny way over males.”

It comes after her Labour colleague, Tracy Brabin, faced criticism for wearing an off-the-shoulder dress in the Commons earlier this week.
