The Chief Nursing Officer for England has advised MPs she was “dropped” from the Downing Avenue press briefing the day after stories broke about Dominic Cummings journey to Durham throughout lockdown.
Ruth Might mentioned she had “in fact” been requested throughout preparations for the briefing for her views on the No 10 adviser’s actions and lockdown guidelines.
She advised the Commons Public Accounts Committee it was a “common prevalence” for her colleagues to be dropped from the every day briefings, however she didn’t know why she was “stepped down”.
