Tory backbencher Michael Fabricant praised her new “fan boy” – aka Sir Keir Starmer – days after the Labour leader appeared to praise her style of leadership.

Sir Keir seemed amused by Rishi Sunak’s teasing, but the faces on his deputy leader and shadow chancellor suggests they did not enjoy the joke.

And SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn asked if Mr Sunak could be the first Tory leader to lose to a “fellow Thatcherite”.
