Sen. Amy Klobuchar, the highest Democrat on the Senate Guidelines Committee, stated Wednesday’s inauguration was the day “our democracy picks itself up.”
In a speech forward of President-elect Joe Biden’s swearing in, Klobuchar stated the lethal Jan. 6 riot “woke up” People to their tasks.
“This ceremony is the end result of 244 years of a democracy,” the Minnesota Democrat and former presidential contender stated. “It’s the second when leaders dropped at this stage by the desire of the individuals promise to be devoted to our Structure, to cherish it and defend it.”
