The U.S. Capitol Police arrested a person on Friday after he arrived at a safety checkpoint in Washington with an unregistered handgun and greater than 500 rounds of ammunition, in response to a report from the town’s Metropolitan Police Division.
The person, Wesley A. Beeler, of Entrance Royal, Va., was charged with 5 crimes, together with unlawful possession of a weapon and ammunition, in response to the report.
