OSLO, Nov 12 (Reuters) – Norsk Hydro NHY.OL pays a dividend to shareholders subsequent week, the corporate mentioned, reinstating a payout for 2019 that had been suspended in April due to uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The board’s resolution to distribute dividends for 2019 is predicated on the improved monetary scenario and outlook for the corporate,” Hydro mentioned in a press release.
The payout of two.6 billion Norwegian crowns ($285.6 million) equates to 1.25 crowns per share, the corporate mentioned.
Hydro final month reported a shock rise in revenue for the July-September interval, powered by a rebound in its extruded aluminium enterprise, which turns slabs of steel into merchandise for building and different industries.
After falling sharply within the early part of the pandemic, Hydro’s share worth has risen by 43% previously six months, closing at 31.29 crowns in Oslo on Thursday.
