CHICAGO, Dec 22 (Reuters) – American Airways AAL.O is starting the phased return of furloughed staff after Congress handed a large COVID-19 support bundle with $15 billion in payroll assist for airways, its executives mentioned in a employees memo on Tuesday.
“Whereas pay and advantages can be restored immediately, folks can be requested to return to the operation in phases,” CEO Doug Parker and President Robert Isom mentioned within the memo, launched by American.
