HAMBURG, April 20 (Reuters)Bangladesh’s state grains purchaser has issued a global tender to buy 50,000 tonnes of rice, merchants stated on Tuesday.

The deadline for submission of value presents is Might 2.

The announcement is along with a separate tender from Bangladesh to purchase 50,000 tonnes of rice for import utilizing land transport by railway, closing on April 26.

Bangladesh has issued a sequence of rice tenders in latest months amid dwindling provides and a surge in costs.

Historically the world’s third-biggest rice producer, Bangladesh has emerged as an enormous importer owing to depleted shares and file costs after repeated flooding broken its crop.
