La Paz, Dec 21 (Reuters) – Bolivian former President Evo Morales on Saturday appealed for his supporters to attend a rally on the border between Argentina and Bolivia on Dec. 29 to decide on a candidate for Bolivia’s election early subsequent 12 months.
In an interview with Argentine radio, Morales, who has sought political asylum in Argentina, mentioned he had referred to as the assembly of the Motion for Socialism occasion, which he helmed for 14 years as president.
“We’ll select our candidate with a view to the upcoming elections in Bolivia,” Morales informed Radio La Community.
An October vote to select a brand new president, vp and a few nationwide legislators was annulled due to critical irregularities detected by a world audit.
The vote-rigging scandal compelled Morales to resign and depart Bolivia in mid-November.
