OTTAWA, Nov 29 (Reuters) – China’s ambassador to Canada on Thursday visited a senior Huawei Applied sciences Co Ltd HWT.UL official who’s preventing extradition to the USA, the embassy stated in an announcement on Friday.
Cong Peiwu urged Canada “to appropriate its mistake” and launch Huawei chief monetary officer Meng Wanzhou, who was arrested in Vancouver a 12 months in the past and is now out on bail. Cong advised her that “we count on you to return to China secure and sound at an early date”, the assertion added.
