Egypt’s GASC buys 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat in tender

CAIRO, Aug 2 (Reuters)Egypt’s state grains purchaser, the Common Authority for Provide Commodities (GASC,) stated on Monday it had purchased 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat in a world tender.

GASC had been looking for the grain for cargo between Sept. 24 and Oct. 4.

GASC gave no additional particulars.

Merchants stated the acquisition was all created from buying and selling home Cofco at $261.49 a tonne FOB plus $32.25 a tonne freight (ocean transport prices), equating to $293.74 a tonne c&f.

The tender had provided with cost utilizing 180-day letters of credit score.

In its final tender on July 27, GASC purchased 180,000 tonnes on the lowest worth of $244.50 FOB plus $34.50 freight, equating to $279.00 a tonne c&f.

Merchants stated earlier on Monday that rising costs within the Black Sea area and the issue of estimating costs within the cargo interval had decreased participation within the tender.
