PARIS, June 29 (Reuters) – Spectacles maker EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA on Monday stated it had determined to go forward with the takeover of Dutch eyewear retailer operator Grandvision GVNV.AS as deliberate and to shut the deal on July 1.
“After assessing all our choices, we have now made the choice to proceed with the completion of the deal with out additional delay,” the assertion stated.
“The strategic rationale of the transaction stays sturdy and unchanged, and after two years of efforts and relentless work, we at the moment are prepared to show a web page and begin a brand new chapter of EssilorLuxottica’s historical past, with GrandVision.”
