MOSCOW, March 26 (Reuters) – Oilfield providers agency Halliburton HAL.N and Russia’s Gazprom Neft SIBN.MM have signed a top level view settlement on technological cooperation to assemble wells on the Achimov oil formation in Siberia, Gazprom Neft mentioned on Thursday.
Cooperation between Western and Russian oil and gasoline producers has been curtailed by the sanctions imposed on Russia by the USA and Europe following Moscow’s annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014.
The operations on the Achimov formation will not be topic to sanctions.
Gazprom Neft and the Houston, Texas-based firm, have been engaged on a lot of tasks since 2011.
