India’s sugar manufacturing seen rising once more within the new season -USDA


April 20 (Reuters)Following are chosen highlights from a report issued on Tuesday by the U.S. Division of Agriculture’s International Agricultural Service put up in New Delhi:

“Assuming regular rainfall and favorable climate situations, India’s centrifugal sugar manufacturing in advertising 12 months (MY) 2021/22 (October-September) is forecast to develop 3% to 34.7 million metric tons (MMT) (equal to 31.eight MMT of crystal white sugar) on a sugarcane manufacturing forecast of 389 MMT.”

“India will retain its present export coverage that can allow backed exports at six MMT. Consumption is forecast to rise 2% to 28.5 MMT, because the economic system recovers from the pandemic. Closing shares are estimated at 16.5 MMT and anticipated to additional decline as India diverts extra sugar towards ethanol manufacturing to satisfy its home mixing mandate.”
