DUBAI/PARIS, Jan 16 (Reuters)Iran mentioned on Thursday three European states had succumbed to “highschool bully” Donald Trump after they triggered a dispute mechanism in a nuclear pact the U.S. president opposes, a step that would finally result in reimposing U.N. sanctions.

The pact, often known as the JCPoA, was agreed in 2015 between Tehran and world powers, providing Iran aid from sanctions if it curbed its nuclear work. Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018 and reimposed U.S. sanctions, telling Tehran he needed a extra stringent deal on nuclear and different points.

Iran has responded to the U.S. sanctions by scaling again its compliance with the deal, culminating with an announcement this month that it will reject all limits on manufacturing of enriched uranium, though it says it desires to maintain the deal in place.

Britain, France and Germany triggered the deal’s dispute mechanism this week. London mentioned it was now time for a “Trump deal” to interchange it, whereas Paris mentioned broad talks have been wanted.
