DUBAI, March 17 (Reuters)Iran’s civil aviation physique has blamed an error by an air defence operator in a ultimate report on the reason for a Ukrainian passenger airplane crash in January 2020 that killed all 176 individuals aboard, the company mentioned on Wednesday.

“The airplane was recognized as a hostile goal resulting from a mistake by the air defence operator…close to Tehran and two missiles had been fired at it,” the report mentioned in its abstract, printed on the company’s web site.

“The flight’s operation didn’t have a task in creating the error by the air defence battery,” the report added.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards shot down the Ukraine Worldwide Airways flight with ground-to-air missiles on Jan. 8, 2020 shortly after it took off from Tehran.

The Iranian authorities later declared that the taking pictures down was a “disastrous mistake” by forces who had been on excessive alert throughout a regional confrontation with the USA.
