MILAN, Nov 7 (Reuters) – Italian eyewear billionaire Leonardo Del Vecchio has raised his stake in Mediobanca MDBI.MI to simply beneath 10% after shopping for round 2.5% in a UniCredit placement accomplished on Wednesday, a supply with information of the matter mentioned on Thursday.
Italy’s largest financial institution UniCredit CRDI.MI mentioned on Wednesday it had offered its 8.4% stake within the funding financial institution, in a transfer that left Del Vecchio as Mediobanca’s largest shareholder after he constructed up a 7.5% stake in September and October.
