MOSCOW, Dec 13 (Reuters) – Russia’s agriculture security watchdog could put momentary restrictions on imports of citrus fruit and potatoes from China after discovering pests in a number of provides, it stated on Friday.
Rosselkhoznadzor didn’t establish the kind of pests found and stated it might maintain talks with China quickly.
“Rosselkhoznadzor shouldn’t be a supporter of the introduction of harsh measures. We assume the scenario will probably be resolved in the end,” it added.
China provided 151,200 tonnes of citrus and 38,600 tonnes of potato to Russia in January-November, in keeping with the Russian service.
