PARIS, July 22 (Reuters) – Consultancy Strategie Grains minimize its estimate for France’s 2021 delicate wheat harvest on Thursday to between 37 million and 37.5 million tonnes, from almost 38 million final week, after a crop tour confirmed disappointing yields in northeastern France.
France, the European Union’s largest wheat producer and exporter, is within the early stage of harvesting its delicate wheat crop and farmers hoped outcomes would verify expectations of a bumper crop this yr, recovering from a poor 2020 harvest.
