SAO PAULO, Feb 17 (Reuters)Brazilian meals processor BRF SA BRFS3.SA mentioned on Monday that two of its crops have been briefly suspended from exporting poultry to Saudi Arabia as a result of alleged irregularities in feed manufacturing revealed by a probe carried out between 2014 and 2018.

BRF mentioned one of many two crops focused by the ban was not promoting something to Saudi Arabia.

The opposite was exporting round 6,000 tonnes monthly to Saudi Arabia. Each are situated in Brazilian Southern state of Paraná.

In a securities submitting, the corporate mentioned that 5 different crops are nonetheless permitted to export poultry to Saudi Arabia and that it has began to redirect manufacturing till the ongoing probe is concluded.

Brazilian federal prosecutors in December formally charged 11 individuals in reference to a legal investigation accusing BRF, the world’s largest hen exporter, of evading meals security checks.
