Feb 6 (Reuters) – Tyson Meals Inc missed analysts’
estimates for quarterly gross sales on Thursday, damage by decrease
shipments of beef merchandise resulting from a hearth at its Kansas plant in
August.
Shares of the Jimmy Dean sausages maker fell 2.3% in
premarket buying and selling.
The hearth on the firm’s Holcomb slaughterhouse curtailed
its meat processing operations and left eating places, meals
service firms and grocery chains scrambling for beef.
Tyson’s beef gross sales quantity fell 8% within the first quarter.
Internet earnings attributable to Tyson rose to $557 million, or
$1.52 per share, within the quarter ended Dec. 28, from $551

Gross sales rose 6.1% to $10.82 billion, however fell in need of
analysts’ estimates of $11.04 billion, based on IBES information

Excluding gadgets, the corporate earned $1.66 per share, in line
with expectations.
