CHICAGO, Could 3 (Reuters) – The U.S. Division of Agriculture (USDA) stated U.S. farmers had planted 46% of their meant corn acres as of Sunday, forward of the typical estimate of 44% in a Reuters analyst ballot.
In a report launched on Monday, the USDA stated corn planting progress was up from 17% per week earlier and effectively forward of the five-year common of 36%.
Pre-report commerce estimates from 12 analysts surveyed by Reuters for the week ended Sunday ranged from 37% to 53%.
Soybean planting was 24% full by Sunday, the USDA stated, simply behind the typical analyst estimate however forward of the five-year common of 11%.
The USDA rated 48% of the winter wheat crop in good-to-excellent situation, down 1 proportion level from the earlier week and in keeping with the typical analyst expectation.
For spring wheat, the USDA stated the crop was 49% planted, forward of each the typical commerce estimate and the five-year common of 32%.
