SYDNEY, Aug 27 (Reuters)Virgin Australia mentioned on Friday it might add 9 Boeing Co BA.N 737-800 planes to its fleet from October in preparation for an anticipated improve in home journey as vaccination charges rise and state borders reopen.

The airline mentioned the elevated capability would carry its fleet to 77 planes and assist it meet its goal of gaining a one-third share of the home market, the place it competes in opposition to Qantas Airways Ltd QAN.AX and Regional Categorical Holdings Ltd REX.AX.
