Former Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull warned the UK over an ‘Australian-style’ commerce deal, on the BBC’s Query Time.
He stated leaving EU buying and selling guidelines with no deal could be “disappointing” for Britain.
“Australians wouldn’t regard our commerce relationship with Europe as being a passable one,” he warned, including “Australia’s relationship with the EU is just not one, from a commerce viewpoint, that Britain I believe would need, frankly”.
PM Boris Johnson has described leaving the EU single market with no deal as being on “Australian” phrases, though Australia doesn’t at the moment have a complete commerce cope with the EU.
