Aug 19 (Reuters) – Marathon Petroleum Corp MPC.N and Archer-Daniels-Midland Co ADM.N mentioned on Thursday they might kind a three way partnership (JV) to supply soybean oil for the fast-growing renewable diesel gas market.
The JV will personal and function ADM’s beforehand introduced soybean processing advanced in Spiritwood, North Dakota, the businesses mentioned in a press release.
Anticipated to be full in 2023, the Spiritwood facility will supply and course of native soybeans and provide the ensuing soybean oil completely to Marathon Petroleum.
The advanced is predicted to supply about 600 million kilos of refined soybean oil yearly, sufficient feedstock for about 75 million gallons of renewable diesel per 12 months.
