Oct 24 (Reuters) – Australia’s Qantas Airways Ltd QAN.AX posted a 1.8% rise in first-quarter income on Thursday, however flagged future revenue impacts from weaker international commerce circumstances and political ructions.
The airline posted income of A$4.56 billion ($3.12 billion) within the quarter ended Sept. 30, in contrast with a restated A$4.49 billion a yr earlier.
Australia’s flag service stated the protests in Hong Kong would influence its interim revenue by A$25 million, whereas weaker freight demand would trigger a A$25-A$30 million dent in its annual revenue.
